Within a year in the province of Foggia, in the municipality of Troia, two large photovoltaic systems have entered into operation. The first plant, Troia1, became operational in December 2019. The second, Troia2, came into operation last June. Together the two installations give life to the solar park Troy which, with a power of 103 Mwp, is the largest in Italy and the seventeenth on a world scale.
The two plants were built by the Danish developer European Energy and occupy an area of 1,500,000 square meters. In total there are 275 thousand modules of brand Risen, Wp.
